Amber’s Journey:
From Jealousy to Joyful Growth

Amber joined Nourishing Non-Monogamy three years into her polyamory journey.

Although she had begun to find moments of ease after working with a therapist, she still struggled with feelings of jealousy when her anchor partner went on dates or shared about his other relationships. These challenges left her feeling isolated, stuck, and longing for deeper peace within herself.

Amber’s main goal in joining the program was to find a sense of inner calm—to reclaim her energy from hyper-focusing on her partner’s dating life and instead channel it into other meaningful areas of her life.

Through the group’s meditative practices, Amber discovered a new sense of internal grounding. She learned to honor her feelings, viewing jealousy not as an enemy, but as an invitation to explore her deeper needs and desires. Communication exercises with fellow participants gave her a safe space to practice discussing difficult emotions with clarity and calm.

To her surprise, she also gained powerful insight into how her body responded to certain triggers—knowledge that empowered her to respond to those emotions with care rather than react out of fear.

By the end of the program, Amber felt a profound shift in her perspective. She writes:

"Attending this workshop came at a key moment in my journey, as I’ve been navigating a paradigm shift away from monogamous relationships. This experience has provided both the community and the information I need to support this transition. It was particularly helpful in offering tools to process strong emotions like jealousy, as well as practical ideas for approaching future growth edges. The group was warm, supportive, and open, sharing their personal insights and experiences in non-monogamy. Hearing their stories gave me a sense of connection and reassurance—I wasn’t alone on this path. This workshop not only deepened my understanding but also left me feeling more equipped and grounded as I continue to explore non-monogamous relationships."

Hearing other participant’s stories gave her reassurance and new perspectives, while the group practices left her feeling more confident, grounded, and equipped to continue exploring non-monogamy. Amber now approaches her relationships with more ease, clarity, and trust—not only in her partners but in herself. She’s found the tools to remind her to step back, honor her needs, and embrace her journey as one of growth and authenticity.

Elle’s Transformation: From Dysregulation to Confident Connection

When Elle joined the Nourishing Non-Monogamy program, seven years into her journey of open relating, she felt weighed down by challenges she didn’t know how to navigate alone.

She struggled with communication and repair practices in her relationship, feeling uncertain about how to rebuild trust after ruptures or approach conflict in ways that strengthened their bond. Feelings of unworthiness often surfaced when her partner went on dates, and non-monogamy amplified these emotions, leaving her anxious and disconnected.

As she and her partner began planning to grow their family, Elle felt even more unsure about how to navigate the upcoming transitions. Questions about evolving agreements, balancing pregnancy, and navigating their shifting needs loomed large. Most of all, she longed to feel grounded, confident, and equipped with tools to face these changes while also deepening her relationship and sense of community.

Over the 12-week program, Elle worked on building the skills and resources she needed to thrive. She began by mapping her nervous system to understand how her body signaled moments of anxiety and dysregulation. With guided exercises, she practiced self-soothing and co-regulation, helping her return to a place of calm more quickly when challenges arose.

In the brave, supportive group environment, Elle learned how to repair relationship ruptures—a skill she hadn’t seen modeled in her family or past relationships. She practiced new strategies for tender, grounded communication during conflict and began experimenting with evolving agreements that better aligned with her and her partner’s current needs. The program also gave her space to connect with others exploring non-monogamy, reducing her sense of isolation and helping her feel part of a broader community, including others who were also planning families.

A key shift for Elle came as she worked to cultivate a desire-based mindset toward non-monogamy. Instead of focusing solely on mitigating anxiety or scarcity-based fears, she began unlocking her own desires and honoring her vision for expansive, nourishing connections.

By the end of the program, Elle experienced a profound transformation. She felt less anxious when her partner went on dates, more confident navigating tender conversations, and deeply resourced for the changes ahead.

In Elle’s own words:

"I used to struggle and push through tough non-monogamy conversations, often feeling dysregulated and ashamed of my big feels. Aria's coaching program has given me the tools, frameworks, and community I need to truly care for myself during and around these conversations. My partner and I have brought in some new communication rituals, and I'm feeling more confident and deeply supported advocating for my needs. If you've ever felt alone grappling with the challenging parts of non-monogamy, you should work with Aria."
